Merry Christmas Everybody!!

I heard a really cool story yesterday at Christmas Eve service from our pastor. He was explaining about great love, and if humans can express great love then God can express even GREATER love. So he was telling a story about great love from humans.

So there was a little girl who needed a kidney transplant. She was only born with one kidney and that kidney was diseased, so they needed somebody to donate a kidney for her to survive. It just so happened that this girl had an older brother, who was also young. So the parents asked the little boy if he would be willing to donate a kidney for his sister so she could be better. The boy thought about it for a very very long time, and finally he agreed.

So the doctors prepared the surgery, and everything went smoothly. One of the boy's kidney got transferred into his little sister's and everything was great. In the recovery room, the little boy was starting to wake up. He was very confused, and asked his parents where he was. His parents explained that the boy was in the recovery room and the surgery went well. The boy asked why he wasn't in heaven. His parents began to answer his very confusing questions, and as they were explaining to the boy what happened they realized that they weren't very clear on what they asked their son to do.

Because when they asked their son to donate a kidney to his sister, the little boy thought that they were asking him to GIVE HIS LIFE for his sister to live. And he said YES.
